Comments: Thx for the info on your site. If I were ever to have a website like yours or Wayne's Mile 77, it would be called Mile 36 indicative of Pine Orchard siding on the Bala sub since that and Zepher is usually where I can be found on a Saturday AM checking out the morning rushhour. I have Bro-in-law in Lively and always make some time for rail-fanning in your area whenever I visit him....Don

Comments: Hi, I was checking out your site and I noticed you also like music so I thought you might enjoy my lyric pages. I used to work for CNR in Sask, Manitoba, and mostly Ontario back in seventies. I worked in the different train stations while the regular station masters went on thier vacations. This is when I started collecting train songs which I would play on my gettoblaster for the people who were waiting for trains. I'm sure alot of people never liked the Hendrix, Savoy Brown & Ten Years After I played but I had enough Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers & Johnny Cash to even things out. Anyways I never stop collecting train songs and I made a home page with my collection. You are welcome to check it out if you like........... Enjoyed your site. Keep Up The Good Work

Comments: I really have enjoyed your site and have bookmarked it. I railfan along the Grand Trunk Western RR which CN owns. Unfortunatly I don't see many GTW paints anymore. It's almost all CN now but I enjoy watching CN trains just as much. I also prototype the GTW in N scale and will hopefully have a couple of CN units to haul trains. I have some CN locomotive photo's if you would like to add them to your site. Any way I just wanted to say how much I liked your site.

Comments: I am sure by now everyone has had the chance to see the "I AM" commercial with the guy who is defending his Canadian pride by shooting down all the myths that surround the Canadian culture. Now imagine an italian doing the same, it would probably go little something like this......... I'm not a construction worker, a brick layer or a school janitor. I don't live in a basement, I don't eat pasta every night. And I don't drive a Camaro. And I don't know Tony, Rocco or Gino from Woodbridge, Although I'm certain they're very very hairy people. I drink wine...not beer. I don't use utensils for pizza. I believe in open bars at weddings, not cash. And I pronounce it ESPRESSO, not EX-PRESSO. I can proudly fly my country's flag out of my car during the world cup. Gelato IS ice cream, Biscotti ARE cookies and Pavarotti IS the best of the three tenors, And it IS pronounced Broo-SKetta, not Broo-SHetta, Broo-SKETTA!!! Italy is the ONLY country shaped like footwear, The FIRST nation of soccer, And the BEST part of Europe!! My name is Giuseppe!!! AND I AM ITALIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments: Liked the site! My name is Jason Baxter and I am 24 yrs old. My dad has 24 (25 yrs in Feb 2000) years with CN rail; many have been spent at Caperol and on the Bala sub. This summer he was on the B&S gang working the bridge at Bala. He told me of the derailment at Sudbury. I was glad to see (and so was my dad) pictures of the wreck. He said that a few employees of a nearby gang became ill because of the derailment. In April I was hired on with CN (I am proud to say that I am the fourth generation in my family to do so). Unfortunately, I was not called and am presently 11th on the list to start. With a little luck, I will be an engineer with CN someday. Feel free to write if you have any questions that my dad or myself may be able to answer. Sincerly, Jason Baxter

I still have it and some others from the 50's and 60's and I am saddened by the many line closures that have taken place since. Being so far from Canada has made it difficult to really keep up to date but the NET is now making me much more informed. Recently I discovered the Peter Andreas book, "Lines of Country" and this has helped me understand Canadian Railways much more. All the very best with your site and I hope to visit it often. Kevin.

Comments: Great to see the Sudbury Jct. pictures on your home page. I am very familiar with that station -- I have travelled between Toronto and SudJct many times over the past several years. (Only one trip was farther -- all the way out to Vancouver on Aug. 9, 1994). I live in Brampton and travel on holidays to Sudbury so I can be picked up and driven by my parents to their home in Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island. Most recent trip was July 28, 1998. Thank you and check out my page of VIA car data!
